The Story Behind that Picture: "The Tokyo Workshop Report"

By: Thorsten Overgaard

A couple of weeks ago the Asian tour started off in the Leica Pro Store in Ginza in Tokyo. Currently I am in Australia and then return to Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and end in Kuala Lumpur

I wrote about Tokyo and my impresions from here a few times before, last in "Tokyo Loves You!" and also in my November 2012 Journal of "On The Road With Thorsten Overgaard".

For future Asian and Tokyo workshops, visit the workshop calendar.

One of the proud results from the workshop, this photo by Colin Steel, Singapore.

A Tokyo moment: A couple drop their bag, money clip and all outside on the terrace of a hotel and go inside to pick the cakes. You can do that in Tokyo. Leica M Monochrom with Leica 50mm Noctilux-M f/1.0

A Tokyo moment: The staff of the airline bus greets the bus like this when it arrives and when it departures. They are three people standing so when they bus arrives they can open for the luggage and take it out for the passengers. Leica M Monochrom with Leica 50mm Noctilux-M f/1.0 yap

Joy Also got to perform at the Church of Scientology in Tokyo. Leica M Monochrom with Leica 50mm Noctilux-M f/1.0

One evening after dinner: None of these are actually in the workshop. A couple from the Eric Kim Workshop next door, the majority are locals who found Joy so intersting they had to capture her.
