		The Story Behind That Picture: "Believe in yourself" By: Thorsten Overgaard Some times I get mails from people that are special. This is one such: "Dear Thorsten, The photo I took at your workshop, the one you said could be in a museum, I have had much controversy over. Some say, "It's just a picture of feet." Others, like you, say it is inspiring and makes them think in a dreamy way. Nonetheless I have actually sold enlargements on canvas of this photo. I named it "You are the Light in Every Step", and did a limited edition of 25. "You are the Light in Every Step" by Dan Feldstein, Leica Digilux 3 with 50mm Summicron-R f/2.0 When I met you I had a Leica Digilux 2 and a Leica Digilux 3, but I was still basically a dSLR shooter with Olympus cameras - That completely changed after your workshop. I now have a Leica M8 and three M-lenses. I still have the Leica Digilux 2 and a Leica Digilux 3, and I also have a Leica D-Lux 5. Suffice it to say, I am loving Leicas. Thank you Thorsten! You have a very subtle way of teaching. Hope you come back to Los Angeles soon, and please include me in another workshop. Attached is the finished photograph. 		I basically don't have muct comment to this, except that the whole point in photographs, art and ideas are that only you as the artist can dream them and see their potential. Few others can see, less believe in the value of something, they can't see in a gallery with a price tag and a well-known name behind. We live in a material world where we can believe cars. Ideas are an entirely different matter. Despite what others say, your ideas can actually make a change. – Thorsten Overgaard, December 16, 2010
